Card Challenge -- Perfectly CAS

Hi everyone how are you all doing?  Still staying safe I hope.

A long time ago when I had a blog before, I used to join in with the various challenge blogs that were around.  I thought it would be nice to do that again.

So today I am going to show you the card I have made for Perfectly CAS blog where the current challenge, which ends on 12 July, is titled "One Corner".  

CAS stands for Clean and Simple & for this blog the definition is "rule of thirds" - you will see clearer when you see the card I have made.  Clicking on the blog name will take you to their page where you will be able to see about their challenges & also all the cards that have been entered.

Here is my card;


In the corner I have inked through a stencil in 2 colours to give the flowers a background. The flowers I stamped with black archival ink & then coloured with felt pens.  The little sentiment was just the right size to fit in the corner.

new photo album

Hello everyone. The last couple of weeks I have slowly been making myself another photo album.  It took this long due to the hot weather which cut down the length of time I could sit in the craft room. The album style is from a video I watched by Vanessa Peter of "Scrappin It Up". She named this album Garden Party - not sure what I will call mine, but at the moment due to its vintage look I may possibly use for it for old family photos.  This will go along side my research into my family history. Here are some photos of sections of the album. The front cover. The base of the album is 12x12 Kraft card. This is the inside left page. It has 2 flaps one which opens to the left & one which opens to the right. Giving me 5 pages in total. This is the right hand page It is also the basis for a large pocket.  It has a flap with a pocket on the front which opens to the right & gives me 2 pages plus the pocket. A special project

Hello everyone. I have been rather busy with just one project  during this week.  I didn't work on it every day, as I get a little tired if I sit & craft for too long. So best to do it in smaller sessions. Last year I made a photo album for my brother that held photos of our parents on their holidays, after they had retired. When I made it I printed off 2 of each photo with the intention to make an album for myself. So, this is what I have finally been busy making this week. Their travels took them to Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland & Morocco, as well as others. Sadly our parents are no longer with us, but in going through some of their belongings we found a box full of slides they had taken of the places they had visited. My husband was able to put them through some adapter & produce actual photos - so this is what I used.
